Pelita dan hari minggu

Hari ini hari minggu.. mari kita berpesta hari chores..tapi mengapa aku masih gigih mengupdate blog? komited babeh. Minggu ini adakah minggu cuti bagi pelajar IPT? dah seminggu kot jiran sebelah saya nih (read:budak UKM) takde kat umah..

..saya ada issue la disini, perlu kah saya bersembang dengan budak2 nih ,

" dik, akak tak kisah korang nak lepak study kat depan rumah bersama rakan2 sekelas..

(kat parking space depan rumah tuh, pelik aku. baik gi projet depan tuh ha..lebih style. ok sambung balik apentah aku nak kata tadi)

..tetapi mestilah berusaha untuk memasukkan sampah2 kedalam tong hijau depan tuh, akak penat la nak kutip"

..agak2 macam tuh la kot aku nak cakap kan...TAPI aku rasa mesti depa akan reply cenggini plak, dalam hati jekla..derang mesti respect aku sebab lebih tua kan, " Kecoh doh akak nih" (tak reti penggunaan 'doh' tuh sebenarnya).. tapi, apa2 pun niat aku mati di situ..

Semalam (jumaat; lunch hour panjang sikit, dan sesetengah orang tu mungkin terus balik rumah) saya mengajak geng maut girlfriends lunch kat rumah..heh, plan nya nak buat photography session untuk business baru Fariza..tapi dah terjakun la pula dengan SLR dia..haa posing tak ingatnya..yang photographer punya post lagi hebat kot..tak sanggup aku nak upload dalam nih..selepas makan2, sembang2, gelak mengilai macam langsuir derang pon nak chow, katanya nak pi Pelita,bangsar..alamak macam jeles je nih..walaupun khamis tuh baru lepak Pelita juga (yang dah kawen nih jangan galak sangat bole) Selepas menelepon hubby boleh tak singgah kat bangsar after ofis hour, tiba2 je aku pon join..walaupun buat2 tanya "weh,aku nak join kereta mana nih?" padahal dalam hati, naik Jazz siut..ngehehehe..

Langkawi Part 2: Yacht Club and Cable Car

Frankly, I've been here in Langkawi two times before; first with yayasan sabah for program anak angkat..and second with family..khairunie, just started her secondary school and khairiah maybe in primary school, .. so, this time the trip was planned without Mahsuri musoleum visit :P

Langkawi has several marinas (as per my reading). I suddenly have keen interest in yacht sightseeing. I know it was impossible for a one day trip for sailing activity; it takes a minimum of 7 hours to complete the tour package. T_T (Tips: langkawi yacht charter)

After the Mangrove tour, we went to The Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. We didn’t realize that it was actually just between the Kuah jetty and The Westin hotel. I browsed through their site and planned for lunch at the Captain’s Deck (nama comel sebab) or Charlie’s place, but cancelled as the place was just boring.

I chatted with a Californian yachter (the friendly me :P ) whom had been living for almost five years , 24 7 in his sailboat..haihh, nice life..or NO life?

We then proceeded to Awana Porto Malai. At 2 pm we had lunch at the Seagull Coffee House, better place than the RLYC. Still, there weren’t much visitor at this Mediterranean-themed resort..aihh.. cuba teka..and someone told us that the Star Cruise (previously base at Awana) wasn’t working very well..hmm..

It was almost 330pm that we rushed to Langkawi Cable Car at Gunung Mat Cincang. Rows of shop building welcomed us and its street named Jalan Dang Wangi, with KL postcode number.

The buildings made different theme, the mediterranean or ancient china and also a mini zoo. I noticed there were elephants, deers and of course the eagles tied with rope. Kes (kesian) . ouh ya .. I bought a freezer magnetic. JE

I somehow sensed that the slope was higher than the Titlis Rotair at Lucerne. The Langcar (langkawi cable car, as called) moved fast to its two stations but slightly slower when it glided down. (Tips: ticket RM15)

"abg, why CINCANG?" I knew he have forever with answers. Because of the rock formation, I looked closely and noticed the stripped-like surface very well visible.

But I browsed the internet, and the source said it was Mat Cincang who turned himself to a mountain.

It was indeed fun weekend and we were very happy with Langkawi. We'll be back again, me hoping for the sailing please Asyik senyum jek ni..haha.. But it's good to be back home again.

Langkawi Part 1 : Mangrove Fun

..my ONE day trip to Langkawi..

The boat cruise to Kilim Nature Park was unlike anything I’d experienced before (Niah cave cross river was too nothing. Manukan speedboat was crazy sickened.) We went to Kilim Geoforest Park, about 15 minutes ride from Kuah jetty. I’d dreamed of something close to fascinating spectacular view of rugged limestone.. and yeah through this mangrove forest I found more than those (hand wave Phi Phi island) This activity called Mangrove Tour, (tips: RM120 per pax) by boat and luckily only two of us in the boat!

Just across the river from the Kilim jetty was the Bat Cave., named after its habitants. But it wasn’t meant to be my favorite. Nothing much or maybe I was too afraid of the dark.. night crawling and knowing that there were bats sleeping upside down hanging above you, what do you expect? Spooky! (Tips; torch light rental RM1)

This is the starting point for the cave adventure. There would be no monkey crossing sign but, yes..all of a sudden a monkey will follow behind you. Tak comel ok, menakut kan . Or if it's your bad day, 4 monkeys!

I was wondering, what would happen if I forgot to turn off the camera flash? haha..answer me!

About 15 minutes after (I must fast forward to another location) we were at somewhere corner of the river to feed the eagles. I was imagining myself, placing some food in my palm waiting the camera to catch my smile.. bengong . NO. This is not magic. It much done this way, our guide stopped the boat engine and began tossing chicken skin, followed by the eagles began screeching and flying down the water and grab the food.. kulit ayam memang sedap la.

Another boats waiting their luck for the eagle feeding. In this video, our guide explained us that sometimes there would be hundreds eagles , more or less depends on mealtime taken.

It may sound funny but I left my shade behind because I don’t want to miss every hue of the magnificent color form by this passage to breathtaking (read : memang suka over excited )

On the right of the above picture was the gateway to Andaman Sea of Thailand, famous with its 99 surrounding islands. European yachters loves to come here throughout season and its normal to see their yacht abondoned like this.

The above picture expained our next activity, the fish farm. This is the view from distance..I've just told you about the yachts..





The floating fish farm has several divided square with nets deep in the water, each for different species fish. The coral fish caught my attention, so to the big eyes of nyok nyok fish or John Travolta ..eh ..Giant Tivolli. Nama taknak kalah.

The boy was feeding the Stingrays or ikan pari. Mari ingat tentang Steve Irwin :P

It was the most highlighted fun wonderlust adventure to one of our own UNESCO Heritage site! to be continue..

weekend attempts

My journey to Utara this holiday was supposed to help out hubby for his site work; signboard audit for Federal Route 7 Alor Setar to Padang Besar (semangat *wink*) , but I have hidden agenda here, ouh that will be later in details. Sila rujuk nota di bawah :P My job was simple, I have snapped all the signboard and wrote some notes for the kilometers.

If you have noticed the new specification for signboard along SKVE, as the pilot project. They're incorporating exit and bigger route number (the number in yellow diamond) from Hospital Serdang to LDP interchange. Route 7 in Perlis was choosed becouse of the lenght and the traffic volume factor. haha.. I don't know but I get excited by phrasing 'Route'







I'm in FIL's place right now and feeling happy because they do have wifi in this house! I thought my sister in law was joking at me...thus I can still continue updating. We went to Padang Besar today and along the ride was the Timah Tasoh lake, very nice view.. baru tau kewujudan.. and Ostrich farm. Sorry, I missed the photos. Unlike our last visit, the bazaar (padang besar) was a bit crowded probably because of the public holiday. So I end up without buying any, except for the purple (ungu kundang) shirt which I actually half as sure. Color not very satisfying. Mengapa beli?







We passed through the immigration for the Duty Free shop Emas Kerajang.. We only bought chocolates, nothing much here ..macam tak duty free je pon.. ouh ya, I love Beryl's ! plus it's local. nyummm sweetbitter chocolate..

22 very random things about me

1) When I was a kid, I had many imaginary friends.. Sometimes I was the princess or chef, but most of the time I loved myself as the ‘Pocahontas’ version carrying my bow and projects arrow to nowhere.

2) I always thought that my late grandma’s paddy field, panoramic view of the surrounding green, the smell of long grass and chopped leaves, blue skies and breezy wind.. and rats running for food..haha.. It was my greatest view and I still reminisce every inch of it.

3) When I was a kid, there were two annoying adults I hate most. One was the weird old man pakcik W****I always sitting by his balcony and watched us every time we passed by his house.. And abg H***M , terrorize at our kampong..bullied us to get the leeches and mount up the red liquid in a bottle. Why us? Hell. ..and till then, I’m not afraid of leeches. Thank you.

4) I still keep my ‘tiny little la la la pillow’, and can’t sleep without.. Well, hubby sometimes get a bit jealous, but still will count it as ‘important things to bring for a vacation’..haha

5)I like travelling places more than handbags or shoes

6) Trust me that I’m not a boring person, despite my passionate for things to do with culture and history. BUT I’m bad at Mathematics, and I’m actually ashamed of that.

7) my husband choose the product's brand..dan aku pakai je, even shower foam. He keeps me stay clean.

8) this may sounds naive, but I let hubby to decide before I buy clothes

9) When I was 3 or so, suddenly the car continued in reverse and hit my ayah, I was in the car but I don't know what to do T_T

10) I don't eat visible onion and bean sprout, but I don't have problem with tempoyak ke budu etc

11) I think Heidi Klum's nose is adorable

12) Me and my sisters loved Hilary Duff as Lizzie McGuire

13)I know it sounds poyo, but I love everything about Paris (hoping to afford little shopping at Champs Elysees ), and I’m obsessed with Europe and Islam history.

14)I think 1 am is too early to hit the sack. I only learn to wake up early when I got married.

15)Somehow I think we are lucky to have arms because we can hug! duh, lame~

Thursday is special..I become a bit sentimental, orang kata Malam Jumaat.. teringat banyak benda. We were taught to recite Yasin every Malam Jumaat , and maybe some recite Yasin everyday, I recite every Thursday.. and if I forgot to do so, minggu tu thumbdrive hilang ke.. “la ni mesti sebab lupa baca Yasin”..hehe hubby punya physiological tought or at least how we discipline ourselves. Some said it's Surah Kahfi instead of Surah Yasin for Malam Jumaat..but like I said, its depends on how we want to feel good and disciplined ourselves to godliness.

Long ago, I was having breakfast with someone (you know who you are) when a salesgirl approached us to buy her stuff; muslim reference books.. and I normally will ask the sales person questions like who’s the publisher? penceramah ustaz mana? or anything to examine if the person really aware of her stuff. But she didn’t explain it very much, I still liked the book, but due to insufficient fund in my wallet.. biasa la wallet lagi mahal dari duit kat dalam , tak beli la..

Months after, Kak Hani and I were having our lunch time, at different restaurant when a salesgirl approached us with the same book. At last, the book is mine..haha, thanks K Hani! dia memang suka belanja. I think each of you must have this book, or at least your parent does.

Tafsir Surah Yasin. But this book is so different. Maybe I like it because it was a book version from Oasis tv program; Ar Rayyan by Dr Fatma El Zahra.. it was Khairiah who introduced me with this program and one of the episode featuring Rosyam Nor, dia kata baca hari-hari pun tak guna kalau tak faham.. I was like..aku la tu, hmm.. nyesal la tak belajar bahasa arab betul2 zaman sekolah..Yes Dr Fatma’s accent a bit odd, yelah orang Mesir bercakap Melayu.. at least better than ‘ I sound stupid when I speak Malay- whatever her excuse is’ Jangan main2, Dr Fatma’s car plat number is MY 1.. She is mother to our King’s brother punya wifey.

Here I would like to share some knowledge from the book.. aku taip je nih staright dari buku tuh.. some points la..nak semua boleh beli.

Yasin; dikatakan istimewa kerana lain dari yang lain, tak ada makna tetapi dikatakan salah satu daripada nama nabi Muhammad SAW.

Ilmu pertanian (Ayat 33) ; Bumi yang kemarau, yang mati, apabila hujan turun ia hidup balik

1 ) Yakin adanya hidup selepas mati, dan ada balasan
2) Cerita paling masyur dalam Yasin iaitu cerita Ashabul Qaryah, heronya Habibun Najjar. Cerita ini bila kita tahu kita nangis. Balasan Allah kepada orang yang zalim, di dunia, belum akhirat lagi.
3)Tanda-tanda kuasa Allah, Allah boleh buat semua. Dan akhirnya, jangan kamu tak tafakur. Allah boleh buat semua. Kun fayakun

Fahilat Yasin

1)Quran itu zikrullah.
2)‘Barangsiapa baca Yasin sebelum tidur, sama banyak dengan khatam Quran sepuluh kali’.
3)Ayat perlindungan seperti Rasulullah amalkan Waja’alnaa min baini aidihin sadda, wamin khalfihin sadda, fa-aghsyainaahum fahum laa yubsiruun

Dan Allah akhiri Yasin dengan very good ending..

Fala yahzunka qaulluhum inna nah na’lamu ma yusirruna wama yu’linum

Jangan sedih, dan kerana itu kalau sedih, baca Yasin, tak jadi sedih.

Salaamun qaulan min rabbir-rahim

Selamat dan rahmah daripada Tuhan yang maha rahmah.

In this very moment, I'm waiting for the bank operation hour to start, 9am kan? So, to kill the time (had breakfast with husband just now) I cannot tahan not to update these..

20th January- other than Obama kicked off the first day of his era, 2 exciting things happened..First, it’s the biggest gathering for ‘budak-budak rumah lama’ hehe..whatever I want to call it here..@ Chilli’s Bangsar BSC. Takde tempat lain kot tengah2 bulan nih?? Anyway, it was fun, gossiping session, and we laughed histerically with theme of the day; Black and vogue..everybody was in, except lynn because she’s in penang ( but I phoned her in the middle)

The biggest news here is, ..Finie sent me mms subuh tadi to inform that she has delivered a baby boy, Farish Iman last night. The mommy and baby now in a very good condition, I guess she must been spending time with her baby, adoring the little.. look at him.

my thoughts

I went to perodua service just now, for the third time and still I failed to make it as walk- in customer. Its weekdays but this place is always such a full pack and that’s why I prefer the PJ or Ampang. .jauh la pula.. So there was me sitting, and waiting for the registration, and definitely only me and the girls next to my seat. Why it took so long? I don’t know where have all the staff gone. At last, it is Wednesday 4 pm.

Second. I have to register a KWSP account for my sister, under my company. So I think there would be some documents needed for the process. Hence I called KWSP.. after listening their machine operator, I managed to talk with their personnel. She was like so friendly, doesn’t mind my repeated question and hehe sometimes I felt a bit odd, a little different but with a hide grin when people call me Puan Ernie..hehe, rasa ernie tuh tak sesuai je puan..macam budak muda je .. maybe Puan Ernie Khairina sounds better..as at my previous company. Mengapa aku memperkotak katikkan nama aku sendiri di sini?
Ouh ya.. at last, I can’t proceed with the registration because kena pakai cap jari adik la pula.. but the KWSP personnel was very nice.

Customer Service, everybody!

Tonight or tomorrow night there would be a concert to celebrate Obama’s first day as US President (20th January 2009) singers; Beyonce, Shakira, John Legend etc are confirmed to perform. HBO. I suddenly have this thought on my mind, that everybody seems to put high expectation on him.. Well, yeah he looks good but when the time comes the world (world kah) surely doesn’t want to be disappointed like the thwarting bomb landing Palestine. We pray.

Talking about Palestine, when I drove back from perodua service tadi tu, I saw a car with sticker to boycott US products, among are our favorites fast food; KFC and McD (coke sudah tentu) This look like a simple thing, but when we started to imagine the situation, this restaurant and the people working there.. Aren’t they OUR people? Ordinary people (and muslim too) working. This picture makes to deliver questions. I think US based restaurants which do not contribute (as claimed) to israel should make an open declaration. kalo berani.

We just got back from Midvalley, haha..no wheelchair! And we had dinner at the new Oldtown Bangsar South Kerinchi. The coolest Oldtown, rasanya. It’s cozy with nice decoration, and costly..haha harga dia lain skit.. Try it.


Ouh I really have to control kegilaan terhadap Ipoh Hor Fun..sedap kan! Nanti dia kembang dalam perut..kenyang sampai sudah.. :D

I went to KL for a meeting. Lucky me dah la minta tolong, kena belanja pula tuh.. the hotel café served enough variety that I had to refuse, I only ate a little. It was already 1.30pm, dah janji lunch dengan Maisun..tuh yang tak selera tadi :P

Wet met at The Mall, had light lunch at McD, the fried chicken and fries with hot tea (aku bancuh kali kedua.. ok nih last makan McD).. Another girlfiend, Lynn is working here too, but she goes outstation to Penang..Lynn, dah 4 tahun tak jumpa ko!

Maisun is in her sixth month pregnancy, looking great and sexy! Woohoo.. We talked about nothing, giggled hilariously, we guffawed and all for the good time. Until it was almost 2:30 and she had to go back office, just across the mall..hmmm, I had really intended to send her but she knows me better; I’m afraid to cross a road. Rasa bersalah je.. dekat 5 minit juga la bergaduh2 nak hantar Maisun ke seberang jalan tuh..but she said, ko nak aku patah balik hantar ko ke nanti? OMG! dengan music latar sedih aku tengok je dia sampai ke seberang.. :P

Hmm! I have a problem to deal with. Masalah melintas jalan.

And this is nothing to do with crossing a road. Saja ja nak cerita. Last year, Hubby and I went to Midvalley, it was already 6pm. I was tired because of the heels. Hubby pula kata ada barang lagi nak beli..ahh..malasnya.. Tiba-tiba ternampak wheelchairs yang banyak tak terpakai kat sana tuh.. “ abang, saya nak naik wheelchair, bole?” I was out of my mind! Definitely, he did not agreed with my silly idea..there were some argument…

..a husband and handicapped wife taking stroll in the mall .. ok for the first 5 minutes, I felt thrilled, kih kih..ntah orang gila nih.. the next 5 minutes and FOREVER, I felt so wrong, bound by guilt.. tiba-tiba nak berdiri kan tak bole..everybody was looking at me.. tengok kesian pula tu..

mungkin akan kehilangan pembaca.. dah insaf dah nih. Hubby is a real good shopper. He knows better when to buy than me. I noticed that he’s very concern of my personal needs, from the major basic to the little thing like facial cotton pun dia boleh terfikir. OMG. TQ.

I met fizah just now, fizah kalaula handphone kita bole buat walkie talkie.. Here's our things, parking kat masjid UM then baru proceed to mana2 destination planned.. and co-pilot is your ultimate companion and guide when driving :P Rather than the radio advertisement or the false promises from traffic report.

We went to my previous company (the parent company la).. this new located huge building, at KL sentral area BUT without visitor parking space. wth? ok la..maybe they aren't ready..but so excited with the opening, and forgot about those basic. EMO ok. In addition to their severe checking, somehow weaken my previous intention..I don't know how about fizah.. I can't believe, I'm your staff here okkk .. I mean I was . hmm.. setelah bersusah payah mencari parking, dan berjalan di construction area.. we only met the receptionist yang susah sangat nak bagi lepas kami naik..

Hari terasa sangat PANAS.

But the lunch save our day! itu lah..food for happiness..sungguh! All bad emotions so faded away with our perut yang kenyang.

it was A&W PJ.. had our Mozara burger, haha actually I have ordered the wrong menu from Burger King..yakin je masa order tuh kan..and of course onion ring, walaupon soon the onion kena buang. I don't eat VISIBLE onion.. yang tak nampak, tak apa. bengong.

oppss All American Food tu..ada kena mengena dengan boikot Israel?

After luncheon, we've separated and I thought fizah intended to lowyat..I drove back home, opened my lappy and started thinking of my next words for a paper work. tapi terblogging pula.. :P

the weekend : Beach & Seafood

Sunday..

..and it was already 3pm. I haven’t made up my mind of what I’d like to accomplish the weekend. When I browsed through ‘things to do in KL’ (I’m not fooling you) I found these two; Bird Park or Bagan Lalang.

..bye bye Bird park..maybe next time.

Bagan Lalang is little known place located between Port Dickson and Pantai Morib, I believe.. and situated just about Sungai Pelek (whatever name it is ). Follow LCCT sign and you’ll notice Bagan Lalang after Dengkil sign.

I was a bit worried if we may possibly reach the beach before sunset..psstt, I’m not the sunset fan anyway.. The ride took 45 minutes (or so) , I saw various small manufacturing / industries, yang macam best.. kerepek desa? nyum2.. and how about dragon fruit? The plant truly organize (I don’t know how to use farming term) …tiba-tiba ada bantal kekabu la tepi jalan..perusahaan rumput mutiara...macam-macam betul.

I saw Concrete Batching Plant (alat pembancuh simen jalan yang macam gergasi tuh) at the middle of the palm oil field..why oh why? Ouh ya, I don’t know but I like to see how these machines operate; macam tower cranes contohnya. Maybe because too much watching ‘Megastructure’ program @551.

Kesimpulannya, perjalanan ni macam pergi Klang pun boleh..pergi Slim River pon ya..kadang2 macam Alor Gajah pon belasah la..until..,


I didn’t expect Bagan Lalang to have such beautiful beach. I ran towards the sand and hih..we should reach here early! It was a perfect place to unwind, its fine sand and the sky was gorgeous blue with some golden ray…

Everything was beautiful, even belakang beach pun..the Sg Pelek. See the reflection? Next, from the main reason I came here (the seafood restaurant.. I save the best for last) .. Sepang Goldcoast. Mungkin selama ni asik nampak signboard 'Sepang Goldcoast' pa dia..ini la..

Anyway, there were few of restaurants to choose..we had ourselves the fresh seafood and our menu;

tapi habis semuanya..Alhamdulillah.

Tips; 5pm is the best time to reach as you can enjoy snapping and the sunset..then, there is surau nearby..comfortable for both male/female for maghrib pray, with public toilet berbayar. Then, you can proceed for seafood hunting. Makan dengan selesa, relex2.

Tips 2; the place maybe a bit far, seafood lover still can find compete restaurant in KL like jalan Bellamy or Tanglin (suggested kepada siapa2 yang pentingkan air asam kaww) But, still the beach worth your weekend.
