not a melting pot

Human Communication (a branch of communication research) is a theory dedicated to study and understand how people communicate ; interpersonal, intrapersonal , group and cross cultural.

Intrapersonal ; you and yourself

Interpersonal; you and your friend

Group; you and your friends

Cross Cultural; Well, you and someone from dissimilar cultural background.

So, why am I writing this? Because I have my class later in afternoon and it appears that I haven't updated my blog since last week. Excuse my reason, let's continue.

Construct, in communication study is a series of experience that eventually will retain a meaning for long time in our memory. Like, you've a toothache after lollipops, and you begin an intrapersonal conversation " Oh this bad toothache, I don't wanna have lollipop ever again!" 

So you just made a construct ; lollipop isn't for me. (unless it is an anti-germ lollipop!) 

Personal Construct theory is one of the foundation for Human Communication, explains how we create construct to understand the world. A person-centered should know how to interact and focus on the individual. Let me drag a simple example, do you think a doctor is a person-centered? A person-centered doctor should counteracts his language and the patients' understanding.

Or, my best example should be the latest TV3 sinari lebaran ads. Why we want to greet  Aidil Fitri with flying beca and so and so. This is a religious festival. I don't think the maker has a high person-centered.  He reconstruct a wrong image of 'colorful' Malaysia. Malaysia blessed with perfect cultures, and different races have their own traditional (or religious) festival. So let them be! We shouldn't be a melting pot where everything goes inside and blended. 

Look at a potpourri. Colorful but harmony (and scented too!)

Diary Bergambar Aariz (DBA) : My very first flight experience

Mummy woke me up very early on that day. I guess it was 6ish in the morning. Mummy told me that I'm going to experience my very first flight to Kota Kinabalu. 

Here's a thing about me; I get excited whenever I'm in crowd of people, but it was totally different. People were rushing everywhere in this very huge hall.

Of course I got a bit nervous but I know Mummy will always be there. She kept saying, "Mummy ada, mummy ada" and to avoid ear pressure she planned to breastfeed me during take off and landing. 

I wore infant seat belt, hmm..was that the only they have for me?

ok Mummy, I got it

 

Alhamdulillah , everything was perfect and there were unoccupied seats so Mummy landed me on it. I've enjoyed the flight, I can't stop myself from being chatty.

But at last I fell asleep. I dreamed sky high =)

and I love flying high =)

oh how to deal with this..

After an absence of 2 months, today I've to attend my class again.  In a while, I'll take Aariz to his grandma. And isn't it sad to be separated from your baby? I'm going to miss him !

kad raya for my sisters

Dear sisters,

Sedih juga la nda dapat sama2 kamu masa raya first..jadi, terima la baju raya sebagai pengganti diri.. Hope you like it, and you better because si Aariz dan abg Is tunggu 2 jam sementara sa pigi cari tu baju ok! haha.. Cari pink bah itu yang bikin lambat..haoyoh mesti ramai yang gila pink ni.

Anyway, see you guys on 14th..I'll be back to the land below the wind, terus kita pigi steamboat saaanaaa nabalu lodge nghee. 

i have to love girdle

I used to hate girdle, ..leceh, panas ..and most of all it minimize the appearance of soft belly my stomach capacity, because I love my food!

My confinement man, ehem hehe insisted me to put on a girdle. Well, I gave it a try for one week now and  it actually work!

i long for long time

Don't think for a second that you can't be confident to wear kebaya. For me kebaya is the most success creation  for all time. My statement, I guess that's because I seriously can't wear baju kurung, else I'll look like budak sekolah.

Everytime I wear kebaya will reminds me of my late grandma, she liked it. And I'm more that happy to see her smile upon me and the moment I think I'm pretty.

I can't remember when was the last time that I loved raya. But I will always miss her around, me in my kebaya and her smile.

Malaysia, that's my country!

Burberry checkered shirt

Lined with bustling shops, it's a common sight at almost every subway station in Seoul. Their underground railroad also famous for great shopping venues, place for great bargains that you may not want to miss. People rush to catch their public transport and busy train station, just like other Asian countries. Seoul city never sleeps and that makes the city so much so.

Because hubby and his colleagues were busy doing stuff as the delegates, me and this one lady (who followed her husband too) decided to explore the said famous shopping venues. We strolled around looking for something to grab. I have longed for pink checkered shirt. So, that was my mission.

I think we stopped at every shop... rambang mata  O.O   But at last  I found the one! I asked for the dressing room, but the boutique owner gave me like kerek look and  I'm not allowed to try on the shirt. apa masalah?? Hmm.. But I really wanted to buy the shirt, else takkan Burberry?? 

Being a friendly person as always, I began a conversation with the guy. I started with telling  him that we are Malaysian. Surprisingly he used to be in Kuala Lumpur and the guy wasn't that kerek sebenarnya. He liked Malaysia very much, nice place, beautiful country and good people.. hehe and at last he let me to try on the shirt. I fit the shirt very well!

everywhere we go, we are proud to be Malaysian!
