Scotland, the first time

So we reached Edinburgh very late that night, Aariz being in a such wonderful manners. I knew he was tired, kesian juga duk dalam kereta lama2 but he seemed alright. We had dinner at his friend's house, and only about midnight  we finally landed in our bed at hotel room. Such a long day! Gosh this Travelodge West End was much better than the previous Estham (Cheshire- boxing day, remember?)

The day is shorter in winter time. So I had to consider that in planning our day. I chose the famous Royal Mile to begin with...erk but it was the usual time for Aariz taking a nap..daddy and mummy sajalah dating hehe

Started at the south of Royal Mile, for the Holyrood palace,

..the scots queen summer palace kot..only returns here in summer..masa summer close la utk visitor

On the way to the north side, stopped at a museum which tells the story of ordinary people..of their life, work and leisure. Interesting I must say.

the women of those years..hehe

a dressmaker and a city girl?

And we continued on..

like those in Harry Potter scene, don't they. I think so, coz JK Rowling pernah lepak2 sini cari ilham.

hujunggg sana lah castle...wait, sebelum tu,

a street performer! Diaa bergerak kalau masuk duit je tau..

ok dah sampai pun castle nya

 the city of Edinburgh

So we all pun turun balik, for lunch and solat. Bumped with a Malaysian student, chinese lecturer kat UM katanya and he ushered us to the city central mosque and famous mosque kitchen (a restaurant). Lapar dah..

sayang dah bangun hehe..at the mosque kitchen..makanan Arab yang sedap

at the outside of the mosque ada jualan amal Syrian.

Before balik sempat singgah museum, huge one but just boring =( except the kids knowledge area,

And finally to the Forth road bridge, bcoz this man likes bridge hehe

Newcastle-upon-Tyne

It took us almost 3 hours to reach Newcastle from Old Traffod, Manchester. Upon seeing the night lights, I knew this is a beautiful city. We passed a bridge heading to my friend's house. She stayed somewhere around the city centre, I mean yes her university is scattered just around the city.

Situated on the bank of River Tyne, it was bone chilling cold in Newcastle. But the special meals she made for us (nasi minyak, nasi lemak, nasi bryani..just to name the main course) gave an extra energy to burn while walking around the city.

Newcastle university,

 Naimah and I

at the city centre..

Approaching the river,

this man likes bridge

Aariz baru  bangun..elokla juga sebab memang tersangat sejuk di luar.., and our first KFC dined in UK hehe. KFC halal at the mentrocentre.

And we reached Edinburgh after that. Only in next entry..

Old Trafford

Remember our northern trip? Well, started in Manchester, 2 1/2 hours drive from Birm. Old Trafford was the only place we went in Manchester, sebab malam tu ke Newcastle.  The theater of dream ..sampai juga =)  Spent almost 4 hours at Old Trafford for museum and stadium tour.

 uv ray

The plaque dedicated to the Munich tragedy. Seven United players killed in air disaster in Munich on 6th February 1968. Also there's a 'Munich Tunnel', house an exhibition of the tragedy chronology until the glorious triumph again. Fuh, rasa best gila jadi fan MU he. The Madrid helped United after the disaster...so sebab tu macam perpindahan United player to Madrid macam senang...orang kata la.

Maybe, I'm a new football fan, thanks to my 'housemate'..  bestlah bola =) Tapi, we don't have satellite tv here in Birm. Mahal la ..rindu tengok EPL. Luckily the internet streaming is superb, tengok bola online la he. Last month dah pergi tengok Aston vs. Manchester United at Villa stadium..hmm, I haven't blog about it, have I? Tapi tengok as 'visiting team' was, not cool! Ketap mulut saja excited Giggs turun padang, or Rooney stunning strike. Kalau bising, habislah kena hentam. Agaknya bila boleh tengok match di Old Traffod?

Trebel, the section I like most. The journey when the club won a 'Treble' of the Premier League, the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League. Three trophies in a single season- 1999.
Well, the expected changing room..

My son was playing football adorably, and I noticed some two or three person at the megastore were trying to capture his photo =) Glamer anak mummy.

Rasa bestla dah sampai Old Trafford. I like the club, despite the fact that my 'housemate' is a fan, and because of the stories told above. They're great..tidak kisahlah siapa player yang keluar masuk pun, I still a supporter cheh!

Oh ya, I got myself a ' I love MU' charm, gantung di handbag nanti haha.

a northener (for a week)

The northen was bone chilling cold! No wonder the Queen of Scots only returns to her palace during summer. But it was a beautiful week and dramatic too! Stranded almost 4 hours in a heavy snow =(

Aariz at the world of Beatrix Potter,

More updates soon..

Aariz : hello Peter !

We're are going on the northen trip tomorrow, heading to Manchester and stay over night at my best friend's house in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, to Edinburgh and finally to the Lake District, Cumbria. Fuh. If the weather permits I would like to see the lakes. Aariz surely likes it. I've planned a special place for him to meet Peter the rabbit ( a classic tale by Beatrix Potter)

I'm excited for his attire than mine..mummy punya pink boleh saja. For my baby banyak ni kena sort out =)
