Holland : Keukenhof Garden

So the next day we went to Lisse district for Keukenhof Garden. It was a trip down south from our park, for at least 20 minutes. I shall say, Holland is green. It actually reminds me of my childhood when the world was greener. I think I like this country. Streams flow, tulips field, country houses,..ahh so beautiful! Memang tulips adalah sepanjang perjalanan kami. Colorful like kek lapis! Dutch is the world's largest flower exporter.

Keukenhof is for flower lovers (oh my mum, she is!). Atau yang tak minat bunga pun mesti jadi suka bunga. Approximately 7 mil flowers are planted annually. So you can imagine besar mana tempat ni. There was a castle but we skip it because it was too cold and windy on that day. It is said that Keukenhof was once served to provide herbs for the castle's kitchen. Tapi masa tu mungkin bukanlah sebesar dan secantik ini. This famous garden in Europe only opens during spring, late March until early June so I guess everyone would plan a trip for it. Such a breathtaking garden, I felt like I was in a fairytale land. Love it !

from England to Holland : Duinrell Holiday park

Assalam readers, for next entries please expect a photos overloaded entry =) I hope you don't mind scrolling for pictures. Memang banyak sangat gambar, semuanya saya sayang haha..

Just so you know, I just got back from our Europe trip; Holland, Belgium and France. For this trip we opted for land mode of transportation and stayed at holiday parks; in The Hague district of Holland, and Maison-la fitte district near Paris. So why did I returned to a holiday park again this time, simply because I like the facilities offered for family vacation plus cheaper. Set in suburb location but nevermind, we hired a van together with our other friends.

The red dotted lines indicate the journey from Birmingham to the port of Dover, in Kent, England. From Dover we crossed the English channel to port of Calais, north France. We arrived at the port of Dover at 3 am, took the ferry scheduled at 4:20 am and of coz we had to pass an immigration check. The ferry ride more or less that an hour. After subuh we continued the journey to our park in Duinrell, Wasenaar, Holland.

In case you're wondering how's inside the ferry. Not anything like what I had imagined previously haha ..ingatkan macam ferry Penang saja.

Arrived in France!

Not until we reached our park, we were already exhausted. Apa lagi driver kan. Dengan tak mandinya dari UK tu haha. The check in time at 3PM, so we had to wait for 2 or 3 hours before we could actually lie down on a bed. Nevermind, the park has an entertainment space more like a theme park! At 150pounds for 3 nights stay at a self catering mobile homes, with theme park yang boleh main hari2.. it was a bargain. Haish, kan best kalau Malaysia ada holiday park macam ni.

Camp sites, or homes..anyone can choose..ikutlah your preferences and style. Very convinent mode of  holiday.

yang belum mandi itu..

Ok mummy tau Aariz penat, tapi Aariz happy kan?

So I let my husband main rides yang extreme tu, while me and my baby had our time strolling around the park, teman Aariz main mainan dia.

our mobile home.

going back to the place I adore

September, 2007

The journey to Europe begins tonight, along with our friends, on a minibus drive to cross the English channel from Dover (England) to Calais (France). We'll be going to Holland, Belgium and France of course, and staying at campsites (a caravan). I've included mosque visit in every cities, insyAllah. Akan share di sini once I get home (or found internet connection).

Jurassic Coast : Lulworth cove

The walking trail from Durdle Door to Lulworth cove could take few kilometres with scenic coastal for sure. (as seen on photos). But we didn't opt for it. Spent almost an hour at the Durdle Door beach and off we drove to the Lulworth Heritage Centre. It is open for public, free admission with an informative exhibitions. We were supposed to learn about local history, geology and the wildlife at the heritage centre but as we reached the place at 4:30PM, it was already closed. Rugikan? kalau lambat memang rugi!

The Heritage Centre is the only access (other than walking from Durdle Door beach) to the Lulworth cove. Let me show you how's Lulworth cove looks like from google map. "Rajin" (simply comment from my husband haha) . Alaa I memang bersemangat.

 amazing isn't??

On the way to the Lulworth Cove..we passed through some shops, cafes, and even cottages! Comel sungguh tempat ini.
