Paris : back in St Lazare and around Galeries Lafayette

We always wanted to go back to St Lazare. We've waited for 5 years for it =) For this trip we included St Lazare on our last day in Paris. Save the best for last?

Previously we were exploring La Defense, the business district in Paris. From there we get off at Haussmann- St Lazare metro and walked towards Paris Opera.

Ever wonder what's it like inside Lafayette?

Paris : La Defense, (new) Paris

It was our last day in Paris. We wanted to go back to St. Lazare, a district in Paris where we stayed during our honeymoon , you know reminiscing  memories =)

On our way to St Lazare, we stopped at La Defense. La Defense is also known as Centre of New Technology and Industry (CNIT). Here's the skyscrapers of modern buildings and offices.

Underground metro and we were going up,

La Defense area map

and here, take a look at the Grand arch

Sebenarnya this Grande arche dibina in a line (sejajar?) dengan Arch de Triomphe de l'Etoile (in Champes Elysees avenue) dan Arch de Triomphe du Caroussel ( near the Louvre). It is called as historical axis of Paris.

Arch de Triomphe from afar. The one in Champs Elysees avenue.

So many things too see, but so little time. Takpelah at least sampai juga kat area ni. It was so different in here, besarnya Paris memang tak cukup masa nak jelajah semua.

Next stop is Hausmann- St Lazare!

Paris : wander down the Champs Elysees

about 3ish pm , on a metro from Rivoli to George station, Champs Elysees area.

So we have finished Louvre tour and Seine cruise. We had our packed lunch in between. The rain has stopped, giving way to that moment of sunshine.

I really, really like Les Champs Elysees. The long bustling busy street with cafes and expensive boutiques side by side. Not because I like to shop, it just that it is a very pleasant place to stroll and watch people doing their things.

I like to give some pose in front of this LV hq because it has the 101 plaque.

finally ada juga yang baik hati ambilkan gambar

and felt hungry because it smells so good in here,

the Parisian bakery

hubby solat depan arc triomphe

and continued on to the other side of street

(teringin pegi street belakang arc triomphe tu. 3 times in Paris but we never did)

and it was time to go back, end of our Day2 in Paris.
