I went out to had lunch with my girlfriends today, on the way back I heard Stars by Simply Red .. aih ignore the lines, ok. I just love this song, reminds me of my past time.. so melodious. Time can do sooo much. I want to be like everybody else. But every so often I’m afraid if the time won’t let me. And he whom I share all my dreams, taught me kita merancang, Tuhan yang menentukan…

We plan it right, do it hard and what we long for, InsyaAllah..the universe knows. Orang kata, Law of Attraction.. pergh (eja peh pon nak bergaya bole) There will be a time, when the thing you dream to do, become that thing you do.. pernah tengok filem That Thing You Do? Tekan butang INFO.

My gorgeous healthy roses (but I noticed the older leaves turn yellow, alaaa..) blooming and grow a new bush. I urge myself to hold on the plan to buy more pots of flower, psstt..Daisies. Daisy Duke! Jessica Simpson look absolutely beautiful, I don’t care about the weight issue!

Kellies Castle

There’s a chance that my writing will get boring at some point/or post, like what I did last night. I just got back from KL and now I’m planning to continue my work, just a random research and typing but I just can’t get any ideas out of my head. Seriously the sun is extremely hot. I feel myself becoming sleepy now..blahh~ nanti sambung (draft autosaved :D )

That was unattractive introduction, huh..but let count them in. hey, I browsed my pictures from last Cameron visit, and I forgot to update about Kellies Castle.. I can’t recall when I learned about the old castle but it sounds like calling me. Hubby has just to agree, how well he know me; I am fascinated by things to do with old legacy and easily want to experience it..hehehe. I wish I am a travelogue journalist..

It was about 20minutes ride from Ipoh, located at Batu Gajah. This is actually unfinished, abandoned mansion built by Wiiliam Kellie Smith. Kellas is a little town in Scotland, correct me if I’m wrong. This man was from Scotland and Kinta Kellas- that suddenly pop in my mind. Yes, he was the previous owner of Kinta Kellas Estate and the Kinta Kellas Tin Dredging Company. Why were always sudden men (I mean foreign venture) made fortune from our land? gimme some~

The Kellas House located just in front the mansion. Mr Smith and her wife Agnes lived in this house before the mansion project started. The house also has its standard, made from Italian marble. I got fooled by asking 'wah cat jenama apa nih..cantik lagi pun kuning dia'.. The building had its new shield in 2000 by the authority, so obviously you need to pay ticket for entry; RM4

I saw some Moorish style or Indian architecture (yang macam kubah2). Look at the apricot block (the one orangy) and most of all the malaya first lift bucket which wasn't turn up to as planned, because mr. Smith died in Lisbon, Portugal on the way to collect the lift.

some say mr. smith spirit is still wandering here, but I say this place is such a perfect for photoshot session.




Also, for some reasons the mansion has two tunnels.

The mansion shared the same story as the Taj Mahal, a dedication of love symbol to his wife.

This place is where Mr Smith may stand to see the surroundings and his estate.

It took us almost an hour to finish our discovery, but frankly you can make it in 15 minutes. I was wondering..it was indeed an abandoned castle because the people ain't put much interest to 'rebuild' the castle and make it more attractive..It has the story, with strong characters and amazing evidence but it was just left behind.

i'm repeatedly listening my now favorite song (haha..obviously that song) and just finished watching hilarious movie..ha, who's funnier adam sandler or ben stiller? these guys memang best la..muka selamba ja.. see, they don't have to make themselves selekeh pun for such comedy. I just dislike the way local's kena jadi buruk2, weird expression which they thought made laughingstock, please..tak kelakar.

i'm a total night owl now, so..yes have some work over there by morning..wanna meet me fizah/k hani? (haha..you know what i mean)

rosy, colors and Katy Perry

I made mee sup ayam today! and it was my first time *^_^* Somebody working with MARDI is inventing a new sup ayam paste and he gave everybody to try it.. hehe, now everyone can cook, huh!

..and we just got back from UKM, as I said our house just very next to the univ and there was an event held with a theathershow. Simple story lane but the explosion effects, gun sound, smoke etc..

Remember I bought 3 pots of roses from Cameron? My little shrubs Rosaceae (read : my roses) blooming gorgeously every each day

I sniff them and hola something good and I can't stop smiling! I sound exxagarating now haha..until, hubby called me and.."tak nak pergi bercakap dengan daun kari kat belakang rumah pula?"..toinkkk!

Do you know that the Kaaba is annually washed by the Iranian rose water. Can you imagine the softly fragrant now, peep?

Ok la cerita pasal bunga,..

the Master of Chores, he will do all the home repair, organization or restoration by himself. One fine day, he reorganized all my shoes (according to colors,as claimed) Note: I'm not showing off anything but doesn't this look...

Where are the other colors? He replied ' you are too pink' . Hmm..I must admit that I have serious crush with pink (Pink is the other version of Black) Don't get me wrong anyway, despite it never fails to amaze me, I'm still colorful. I have other favorite colors. Its good to have your favourite color..senang orang nak bagi hadiah. But most of all don't let people annoyed by your favourite..haha la la la~, why should I bother, anyway..

I'm not Katy's fan, so I don't pre-listen her track before the songs become top of the chart. Now, I can't stop myself from YouTubing her video - Thinking of You.. the song show the other side of Katy's dance music..hehe..I like the make up sebenarnya ..phewwit!

I wish to have face features like her, so I can wear red chilli lipstick confidently T_T ..Macam cikgu Nora, yang baru dengar 'dentuman' heels nya dah buat kitorang jadik macam tikus dalam kelas.. (apahal cerita pasal heels pula??) Oh sebab kasut Katy dalam video ini nampak 'menyeksakan'

Cameron Highlands : flowers, veggies and the Smoke House

Tuesday

..and last day for Cameron Highlands..yay, tak sabar nak balik tempat panas. It was bone chilling cold ..sigh, I often get fever for instant and I think my immune system is weak..sed!

On the way down, we stopped at Kea Farm..we strolled around for fresh veggies, teas and I bought strawberry chocolate..hmm.. ok la. Macam tak best je kombinasi masam dan pahit?

..and forgot that someone was much occupied with the veggies..tak pe la, aku tak reti pilih sayur.. it was nice watching him sorting the veggies anyway..haha..RM10 for 16 packets assorted veggies.

buat apa2 pun mesti komited dia ni..bila ntah nak masak semua tu :P

Before leaving, hubby asked if I wanted to buy roses..yalahhh..but I was thinking of something more practical..hmm, then we bought 3 pots of roses at RM25..at least kan dengan pasu dia hidup lama (sengaja letak2 harga, as reference pada sapa2 pegi cameron lepas nih)


So, we moved to Ye Olde Smoke House, as promised (mana ada, sendiri buat janji..haha) Tempat ni best, teringat Kundasang War Memorial

The Ye Olde Smoke House was built as a relaxation place for the old armies/foreigners, an escape from melancholy because they could only return home once in eight years! macam homesick la kot. It was then. Now, foreigners (or most of them are the mat salleh) registered as patron, and have access to the hotel facilities. We purchased afternoon treatment and had a pleasant evening at its garden.

kat sini banyak betul bunga dan cantik2..bunga yang lama tak jumpa pun ada. Colorful! Tuhan memberikan kita kehidupan dan keindahan sebagai pakej lengkap..Apa2 je la aku nak cakap kan..haha

I found it was very nice Old English decoration inside, a set of flowerily couch (I like the armchair!), the fire place, a perfect setting of fine dining with red roses, some white furniture at the extended café, and I made a quick glanced at the bar..and I wondered how the upstairs was like. It must be very lovely...tapi restroom dia tak pun :(

On the way back down, we passed by this place named the Lakehouse..kat Cameron ada tasik rupanya. I caught ear pressure, I thought because of the climate, but still hurting me till now..apakah?

Cameron Highlands by myself

We were at Equatorial, Cameron Highlands for 3 days (it was the third time anyway) and I kind of hate the coldness, reason being was my sinus attack. benci susah nak bernafas.. T_T tapi suka suara seksi.. I texted K hani “ ..tak sabar nak pegi tempat panas..”, but she replied “..kat KL panas terik, bole migraine..” kelakar!

It was indeed a fine day and the weather seemed promising for a day out. But I opted the balmy blanket.. was trying to finish my novel. He had his conference somewhere at the same building and maybe a site visit..wait, Riverbank and Toe Protection (as written) I knew I would end up with ailing worsen if I continued hibernating, mingkuluput dan tidur macam udang! (mingkuluput = bungkus badan macam baby)

In miraculously short time (or additional 10 minutes of photo shot for make-up check) I was driving by myself down to the Brinchang town. I found it was unnerving yet strangely thrilling. I stopped at my first point and was very happy (as if I danced ‘wildcat ..sing along’ whatever the High School Musical lyrics is) congratulating myself.

When I was 5 or so, I often used the main alley at my kampong (from grandma’s bendang) and I passed by this one house. I made friend with the couple (the owner) she was in her late twenty, while the husband must be 30++. I liked them, they were very welcoming and I enjoyed their garden. A rose garden! Maybe I had lunched with them, I couldn’t remember, but the last thing I knew was suddenly the house was empty, the flowers unlikely blossomed, they were gone without saying goodbye. My grandpa told me that her husband had passed away.

The Cactus Point was like a cloud of rose perfume (tips: free entry) I enjoyed the place, if I stayed any longer I would have gone crazy with all the flowers and cactus.. I took pictures countless when a foreign tourist asked if I need her help..apakah makna? lebih dari foreign tourist?

ouh ya, I've once came across this poem; "if I had a rose everytime I think of you, I could forever walk in my garden"..hahaha..soul nye..isk, bila la project garden aku nak start nih..hubby tengah buat taman herba belakang rumah :) best juga ..OK here are more pics, tapi pakai IXUS sahaja..bole juga la min2 SLR, haha

I spent only RM13, bought 4 pots cactus and freezer magnetic (the cheapest tapi paling senang nak ingat tempat kita pergi)..ouh ya, dan tali gantung handphone untuk adik2 (haha!)

I continued to my next spot, Time Tunnel Gallery (tips: RM5 entry tix with lengthy space underground. Tunnel kata). It was like an exhibition of very old or odd items and artifacts on display, and photographs to bring back the memories of 40’s or so. Obviously I don’t have the memories, but most of it reveals the Cameron Highlands in history. (tips: Creepy! Aku rasa lah, sebab duk sorang2 dalam tu)

It was almost 2 that I drove to Tanah Rata for luncheon. I stopped at our favorite stall (sebab teh tarik dia sedap, bole) but I cancelled my order, macam lembab je.. then proceeded to next restaurant. I met European tourists again, but this time we chatted and surprisingly Uddo, 65 (and his niece Suzanne) love our country very much that he moved here for good. We talked about places and he knew Malaysia better! But I challenged him with the Rhine river :P Just watched the documentary about it. (Catch River and Life at NGEO channel for famous rivers around the world)


The Ye Olde Smoke House caught my attention on the way back, I stopped a little while. The boutique hotel was very attractive with its Old English theme. It must be good with him. So, I saved the best for tomorrow :P
