back to school

So what is it we're supposed to be watching right now? berita tv1,buletin utama,..But instead I'm writing here because the TVs have no visual..thanks to the lightning strike..

I got my exam result yesterday (or bila ntah) and alhamdulillah, I'm qualified for next semester. Remember I've mentioned how scary it was, sebab kalau tak 3 pointer tak boleh naik sem! gila!..OK fine, I got 3.25 BUT I'm going to tell you right up front, mine isn't the best. (clearly la kepada yang bijak pandai di luar sana) Ada je yang dapat first class.. ntah zaman bila la nak merasa begitu. Well..well exam result is here, I'm going to register my new courses..maksudnya, kelas nak start balik! Gembira hokey..bunyi poyo juga la..but seriously, I like to attend my classes. I'm in love with the courses (social sciences and humanities) and I should have done this from my degree..And I don't mind of continuing any higher than this.

the longhouse

In archeology and anthropology, a longhouse is a type of long, narrow, single-room building built by peoples in various parts of the world including Asia, Europe and North America.

Many were built from timber and often represent the earliest form of permanent structure in many cultures.

Picture illustrates The Scandinavian or Viking, Pacific Northwest Coast and Mnong of Vietnam longhouses, respectively.

Now, this replica of Borneo longhouse is located at Sabah Tea Garden, Nalapak about 20 mins ride from Ranau. For those who likes an adventures of exploring new things, they constructed this longhouse in such a way like 'an apartment' with 12 single rooms, also facilitated with mountain biking trail, horse riding paddock and campground (ok, mat salleh je yang ramai datang)

We just took a glance at the long house and here are some pictures to share.

I think it's very creative to hang the colorful fabrics up there. I remembered that my late nenek also done this to our small hut beside the paddy field or pondok rehat tepi bendang - very long, long time ago!

Surprisingly, the rooms aren't so bad! They look comfortable, well for RM50 per night.

Gongs form the backbone of most musical ensembles, found in all parts of the state and are highly valued. They are also used as bride wealth, for animistic religious ceremonies, signaling and during harvest festivals.

But I haven't thanked the man who leads the gong team for my wedding day, he died just a few days after, a very old man - lain kali cepat2 cakap terima kasih kepada orang.

This native basket is wakid , or sometimes I called it sisikud (maksudnya galas) We used this thing to carry stuff..normally in paddy field work very long time ago..masa saya kecil bersama nenek di kampung.

Such visit is like me cruising my childhood memory, tho this is my first time of seeing long house myself. Ntah, somehow macam teringat zaman dulu2. Oh yes, did you know that CTea is manufactured in Nalapak? sedap teh nya. I'm a tea fan.

the best birthday gift ever for Fiza : part 2

Hari ini saya melawat bandar Klang..ok, fine kami sesat termasuk bandar Klang untuk menuju ke majlis persandingan si cantik manis-lawa-gile-ko-weh! fiza alkham. Dalam perjalanan ternampak Klang Parade, dulu masa duk shah alam klang parade dan pkns adalah tempat saya membeli brooch dan tudung.. dulu la zaman bangku sekolah..adik2 aku pun tak sempat lagi merasa.

Sangat suka konsep dewan ni, walaupun pukul 4 sharp dah wedding planner tu cabut semua kain2 perhiasan..ko berkira betul.

Sampai lambatkan, perut sebenarnya lapar tapi nampak ayam dan daging terus kenyang..alih2 makan 7-8 biji nasi je (tak tipu) rasa nak nangih je lapar tapi mulut taknak makan..camana tu? I lost my appetite..tak makan2 pun kg tetap bertambah, datang dari mana?? haaa magic!

The girl I met at MMU..die ni suke sangat kucing..sebab tu die comel.. sebab tu rumah sewa kitorang kat MMU dulu penuh kucing..bile penuh kucing?? T_T

Yang pegi nikah semalam tu..saya telah menyebabkan mereka2 ini kelaparan. Kisahnya sebab lambat reach rumah derang before ke majlis nikah fiza..maka derang pun tak sempat nak lunch..kesian. Oleh itu, nak ambik hati terjanji la plak nak belanja T_T

baby first scan and my diet

We went to a clinic for my first scan yesterday. The day I've been waiting for since the day I knew I'm carrying a baby. My first time to meet the baby, I was a bit terrified, but curious too. Baby is now 28 mm, very tiny but according to babycentre, dah ada eye lid..yey baby dah boleh pakai eyeliner. I saw baby heartbeat..kecil je tapi ada dengupan jantung, SubhanAllah.

I lost my appetite, this is normal for me..but not this time around please..rasa kesian je kat badan kalau tak makan.. I like to take my time over a meal..makan lambat2 lepas tu tak habis =(

If I had meat today, it takes me 4-5 days for meal without meat pula. And the rice quarter pula dah. I was like hearing a voice "jangan makan banyak la!daging tu..ha ikan pun jangan sebab dah makan semalam" sigh..So what am I suppose to eat?? Luckily I still like vege or anything green leafy..my favorite. I'm too lazy to cook, can't stand the smell bahan2 mentah. Thanks hubby yang balik kerja with 2 or 3 meal proposal..makan kat luar je..hish! tak boleh ni nanti baby high maintenence!

And everytime I feel like want to vomit, I'll eat my home made jeruk ..haha..saya memang tak makan jeruk selama ni because I don't like the idea of a vinegar used as an ingredient in food. Jeruk mangga sendiri lebih terjamin.

My doctor told me to breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen and dinner like a princess..hoho how cute is that!

Mengapakah mangga selalu dikaitkan dengan mengidam? Padahal selalu je kan makan mangga..Lelaki pun suka makan mangga. Speaking of mengidam, I don't fancy food..but I think I got a new list of the places I wanna go T_T . Mengidam places ? like Melbourne - lepas tengok Langkah Mawi..never thought about aussie before..and Prague (of the Czech Republic) pun bessstttt T_T . Jauh gila tapi. Berangan pun berpada2 la kan. Anyway, dapat pegi JB pun jadi la buat masa ni =D

home alone

As bored as the title, and as my fingers boogie on this keyboard, I didn’t plan to write but I need something to do. I'm home alone tonight (hubby kerja) too bad I just wasted a half of weekend by staying at home alone. Yes, I’m purposely overstress the word..haha. When you’re alone, even the food don’t taste that good!

Well, what did I do when I’m home alone? I watched football! And yes the game was entertaining – West Ham United nil, Manchester United four. I missed Scholes, but when I thought Gibson’s score was striking enough, suddenly there was Valencia to make it 3! And wait a second, Rooney did it again a minute after! Best gila..senyum sorang2. Does anyone here watch football too?

Rooney sumbat gol, aku pula sembat benang! I finally finished my baju kurung moden which I planned (earlier) to do it in a single sitting in time of the deadline..haha memang tak dapat la. Ok, I’ll upload it later.

The deadline means the day of my girlfriend’s wedding. I’ll be dressed in my first baju kurung self-made attempt to Fiza’s big day. Next week!

my sewing project : three-tiered skirt

I found a very lovely pink flowery-leafy green motif cotton the other day, and I made another tiered skirt. Tambah lace sikit..suka! =D

So it seems that tiered skirt is my favorite now..

very comfortable to wear, giving enough room for leg movement ( and future belly =P ) .

I'm a beginner sewer that learned to sew about ehmm, last month? Of course sometimes I'm having trouble with gathering..attaching.. kena buka benang balik la.. Kalau kain tu pink kurang la stress nya =P
