isu penggunaan kalimah Allah

The graffiti taken on my way from Paris to Lucerne.

HALLA GIVE ME DOLLAS

Previously, I'm not that interest to write about the current issue; use the word 'Allah' (swt)for non muslim IN Malaysia. Because the topic has already lead to several attacks and public sensitivity.

Anyway, for an introduction, Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, use the word "Allah" to mean "God". Yes we had already knowledge it. In Malaysia (and Indonesia), the translating word refer to God as Allah in Bahasa first made by Francis Xavier in 16th century. Nothing new, isn't? But why the issue suddenly boom? Because it was published publicly.

I know that I'm not good in commenting but at least I speak my heart. Let's make it easier, just by looking on our own culture perspective. Do you think the use of word 'Allah' by non muslim is in our local culture? I don't think so. Maybe but not publicly. We are not used to it, I mean it never exist in our culture. Some place yes, but not at the major. So just don't do it. Nobody said it is easy to change what we are used to. Culture adaptation wont be that easy.

Ok aku bagi perumpamaan culture adaptation paling senang la. Kau cuba tindik hidung kau, dan balik jumpa orang tua kat kampung. Kompem kena tengking. Tapi cuba pegi India, takda sepa pun hairan. Because it is in their culture. Tindik2 bukan adat kita kan.

I hope you'll understand what I'm trying to say. Tidak payah la gaduh2 ..let's have mutual understanding. And most important, live harmony.

random: Tiba2 teringat Dr.Viviane, sebab pernah curi2 baca dia punya kitab. hehe pernah dia kejutkan sembahyang subuh. I miss you, old friend!
