Layla and Majnun, and my self made white blouse!

Both Jejak Rasul and Syahadah are good programmes to watch. Obviously their similarities in Islamic documentary; Jejak Rasul is more on cruising through the history, whereas Syahadah is focusing on the achievement among Eurasian Muslim these days.

Eurasia is the crossroad of Western Asia and Eastern Europe; Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan (now showing)

I was cooking and watching Syahadah and as the city of Baku part, I missed the visual. But what makes the interesting narration was, it is told that the popular Arabic love story Layla and Majnun according to Azerbaijani adaptation became the Middle East's first opera and premiered in Baku on 1908, so I googled it (read : semangat! )

Baku is the capital city of Azerbaijan, an old city and some say it’s the ‘Paris of the east’ O_O nak pegi! nak pegi!

Among the popular place to visit is the Palace of the Shirvanshah - a memorial complex built as the sacred place for tomb of Sayyed Yahya (a sufi) and Layla and Majnun was performed in here.

Layla and Majnun ; based on the real story of Qays ibn al-Mulawwah who fell in love with Layla bint Mahdi, but was refused by Layla’s father. Qays then began wandering the surrounding desert seen reciting poetry to himself or writing in the sand with a stick - that was so very romantic ok!

I pass by these walls, the walls of Layla
And I kiss this wall and that wall
It’s not Love of the houses that has taken my heart
But of the One who dwells in those houses

Majnun Layla, which means "Driven mad by Layla" haaa I’m melting as I read several more lines of poems by Qays…what's more romantic than a dedicated poem?? huhu note to myself: tak suke tau semangat2 sgt macam ni ^_^

Ok ok back to reality.

I have this brownish motif long skirt. As I couldn’t find a perfect match for the skirt, this idea of sewing a blouse suddenly knocks me, see the result

Bought these – English white cotton, buttons, lace

A blouse as the measurement (bayang2 aku kah?)
and..

Taraaa!! What do you think??

teknik jahitan takde, so I call this baju as ' baju asal bole' =D =D
